Birmingham Pride

Birmingham Pride is very close to my heart. Ive spent most of my adult life living in Birmingham and spent much of that time contributing to the local LGBTQ community in as many ways as possible. So When the official organisers of Birmingham Pride approached me to produce work for them I was elated. The festival has grown from strength to strength over the years and is currently held on a HUGE expanse of fat concrete land formally the Birmingham wholesale market. The aim was to add some large eye catching injections of colour to what could easily become a very dull grey site, which is not what you want for a pride.

We came up with these totem poles. Not only colourful but also informative, directing people to key points around the festival. Using the numbers at the top they can easily be seen above the crowds to become meeting points for when you loose your friends.
